About Paris
Paris Lia is a native of Los Angeles (for the past 7 1/2 years…does that count as ‘native’?) who pretends to have ‘black smogger’s lung’ to impress and horrify relatives at holidays and weddings. Further character flaws include eating way too much Red Baron Pizza, especially after midnight. For this, she is glad she is not a gremlin. Her mother in Seattle wishes she would visit more often.
If she could change one thing about Los Angeles it would be the ratio of humans to snails. As a nature lover, Ms. Lia finds that LA is grossly lacking in the mystical, slimy critters that remind her so of The Never Ending Story. Except for when she lived in Burbank where strangely there seemed to be a delightful abundance of snails, especially in the fall. She is not ashamed to admit that often times she has taken camera phone pictures of snails and sent them to friends - most of whom were confused if not unappreciative.
Ms. Lia is a self-described nerd-sympathizer.
