For part II of my three part series on living the good life…

 GOOD FOOD!

(After all, what could possibly follow  good sex better than good food?).   Il Capriccio (1757 North Vermont Avenue, Los Feliz) is hands down one of my favorite local restaurants.  The Caciotta Fritta (fried goat cheese) is my favorite app.  If you’re afraid that this dish might be too much dairy….IT IS!!!  This dish is CRAAAZy heavy!  But for hard core cheese fans the Caciotta Fritta is one part heaven, eight parts guilt that will sit in your stomach for a good 48 hours….But hey, look…getting a good meal takes comitment so you might as well set the tone with the first course.   The Calamari Fritti also doesn’t disappoint and you can also order the calamari unbreaded if you’re looking for a healthy alternative.   

For the main course  I absolutely  love their Cappellini a la Checca (all that garlic!), my boyfriend loves the squid ink ravioli…if you’re adventurous, you won’t be disappointed…yeah, it’s a weird color but the ravioli is stuffed with delicious ricotta cheese and tender, sweet lobster…yummmm….

Now, I have to admit, I haven’t tried their desserts yet but that’s mainly because we’ve always been too stuffed!  By that point we either stumble home and aid our food digestion by watching a movie, or we walk off our meal by visiting The Skylight Bookstore across the street from Il Capriccio.  If it’s early, we’ll follow up the book browsing with a movie at the Los Feliz 3 thats a mere 10 steps out the front door of the Skylight…

Hey, it ain’t called Los Feliz for nothin’…
